Thank you for your interest in the Arab–Israeli conflict. Due to past disruption, a special set of rules apply to anyone editing in this topic area. Specifically, only extendedconfirmed editors are allowed to make direct edits and page creations to this topic area. Since you currently do not meet the requirements to contribute to this topic area, the page you created has been speedy deleted under G5.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page does not fall under the general sanctions described, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion review. Additionally you may wish to read about the topic restrictions here. * Pppery * it has begun... 15:53, 9 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Also, even aside from the topic-area restrictions, Wikipedia articles should be based on an encyclopedic discussion of the subject, not a lengthy quote from the text of a primary source. This is not Wikisource. * Pppery * it has begun... 15:54, 9 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
You're going to have to go through the other United Nations General Assembly Resolution pages then, because I used one of them as a guide to how it needed to be set up. Have a good day! Butheremails (talk) 18:35, 11 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Introduction to contentious topics

edit

You have recently edited a page related to the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Additionally, you must be logged-in, have 500 edits and an account age of 30 days, and are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on any page within this topic.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Hi Butheremails. Thank you for your work on Leonard Charles Wooldridge. Another editor, Klbrain, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

Thanks for creating this biography, with notability established through the biographies, and professional recognition (Croonian Lecturer, for example). A short life, even for the 19th century! The biography is rather dominated by one reference, and a great diversity of sources and views is generally better; at times, the language also seems to be framed by the 19th century biographer, so could perhaps do with some dusting.

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Klbrain}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)
